On an area of 26 hectares will be a solar park with a capacity of 31 MW. This is equivalent to the annual consumption of 9,200 average Dutch households. The Eersel City Council selected TPSolar’s solar park initiative in 2022 to achieve their energy goals.
Municipality of Eersel
The municipality of Eersel wants to generate 0.055 Terawatt hours (TWh) of sustainable energy in 2030 in order to become energy-neutral in 2050. To achieve this, the municipality focuses on energy conservation and solar panels on roofs, but also on large-scale sustainable energy projects, such as solar parks. Together with its residents, the municipality considered the possibilities in 2021 and 2022. The construction of solar parks will be limited to one area, namely Wintelre. In this search area, TPSolar has made a plan for Zonnepark Landsardseweg.
Resident participation
Resident participation consists of two parts: plan participation and financial participation.
In plan participation, you can contribute ideas about the plans, design, layout, management and maintenance of the solar park. Local residents of the solar park are actively involved in this through information on the website and social media, information meetings and kitchen table discussions. Local residents participated in 2022 and 2023 with Solar Park Landardseweg. All the shared documents can be found on the Dutch project page of solar park Landsardseweg.
Financial participation is co-investing and/or experiencing the benefit of the proceeds of a solar park. The possibilities for financial participation will be discussed with local residents as we progress through the permit process. Energiecoöperatie KempenStroom is committed to ensuring that residents like you are involved in the development of large-scale energy projects and can benefit and participate.
